Over recent decades, the unique physical properties and broad application prospects of terahertz technology have garnered significant attention from the international academic and industrial communities. Positioned between the microwave and infrared regions of the electromagnetic spectrum, terahertz waves offer advantages such as ultra-wide bandwidth and high resolution, enabling critical applications in communications, radar detection, medical imaging, and security screening.
To advance research in this rapidly evolving field, the International Workshop on Terahertz Technologies will be held in Wuhan, China, in 2026. Co-organized by the Wuhan National High Magnetic Field Center at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (WHMFC, HUST), School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (SEEE, HUST) and the Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IAP RAS), this workshop aims to foster international collaboration and academic exchange among leading experts from Asia, Europe, North America, and beyond. The workshop is expected to bring together 80–100 participants, including distinguished scholars from top research institutions such as IAP RAS (Russia), UNIST (South Korea), Kyoto University (Japan), Microwave Power Products (formerly Communications & Power Industries, CPI) , and leading universities and institutes across China.
The workshop will focus on the development of terahertz science and technologies, with in-depth discussions on key topics including:
We cordially invite global scholars to join us at the International Workshop on Terahertz Technologies in Wuhan to exchange cutting-edge ideas, explore collaborative opportunities, and shape the future of terahertz science.
